Streamtuner is a stream directory browser. Through the use of a plugin system, it offers an intuitive GTK+ 2.0 interface to Internet radio directories such as SHOUTcast and Live365.It offers hundreds of thousands of music resources in a fast and clean common interface.
Please see more information from Streamtuner’s homepage:http://www.nongnu.org/streamtuner/
Installation:
Ubuntu:
sudo apt-get install streamtuner
you may also download Streamtuner’s source distribution or rpm packages for Suse and Fedora from its homepage.
Usage:
By default,Streamtuner uses XMMS as player,if you want to use other players, you need to go to Edit->Preference->Applications to set up a player for Streamtunner.I use Rhythmbox, please see my setting as a sample
Once you have done the applications setting, please select a music resource that the streamtuner searched out for you , and then click button Tune in or just double click the music resource you selected, the online radio stations you selected will be added to your player’s radio list automatically.Enjoy!

HI matelot
Streamtuner will add music source links to Rhythmbox automatically, but it won’t let the Rhythmbox start playing automatically. You have to double click the links you added to start playing…
